Murray PHN Limited invites suitably skilled and interested people to nominate for one of two Non-Executive Director vacancies to serve on the company’s Board. These vacancies have come about through the Directors reaching the end of their appointed term and both are eligible to nominate for the vacant positions.
We are seeking nominations from skilled individuals who will complement and strengthen the Board’s collective knowledge and capability in the governance and strategic leadership of a $71m commissioning entity. Successful candidates will possess Director level qualifications, experience and skills in areas such as the planning, management and governance of health services, legal and financial expertise and population health systems and planning. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from general practitioners whose background also includes significant experience in health policy areas, in addition to the above.
At Murray PHN, we aspire to be an anti-racist organisation, embedding cultural humility as a daily practice, to improve health outcomes and health equity in our communities. We recognise cultural humility as a life-long commitment to self-reflection, personal growth and redressing power imbalances in our society.
Selection of Directors is based on an assessment of their contribution towards the required mix of skills and experience which collectively the Board needs to possess. Further information on the skills matrix can be found here. Appointed Directors are paid a monthly stipend and appointments are generally for a 3-year term.
More information about Murray PHN can be found throughout this website, including the Company Constitution and the Strategic Plan 2023-2025, but the ethos of the organisation can be summarised in its core values of Leadership, Collaboration, Respect, Innovation, and Accountability. General enquiries about these roles should be directed to the Consultant assisting the Board, Alan Wilson, on 0414 470 460.
To apply for one of these Director vacancies, simply send a current Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with a covering letter which explains your interest and what you can contribute to the Board’s skill requirements. Applications should be directed by email to Alan Wilson at email@example.com
Applications close on Monday 22 August 2022.
