General practice eligibility

All general practices who administer the National Immunisation Program are eligible to apply, including practices that are in the process of being assessed for accreditation and non-accredited practices.

General practices must meet the Commonwealth Government Site requirements for COVID-19 vaccination clinics in order to submit an EOI and administer the vaccines.

  • Following approval to join the AstraZeneca and Pfizer programs, practices can submit an EOI to join the Moderna program.
  • If a general practice has multiple sites, an EOI needs to be submitted and approved for each practice site and for each vaccine.
  • To submit an EOI please email covax@murrayphn.org.au for the submission template.

  • Read the on-boarding and/or information pack provided by email when you submit your EOI to help you prepare.

  • Familiarise yourself with the COVID-19 MBS items and PIP payments.
  • Familiarise yourself with the processes of  vaccine preparation.
  • Plan your model of vaccine delivery including how to separate vaccine clinics by time or space.
  • Organise your booking system so this can be linked to the Commonwealth Government COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder.
  • Organise your waiting list by identifying and making contact with eligible patients, this list can also be used to manage excess doses.
