Murray PHN has a role in working with the Department of Health and Human Services Victoria (DHHS) and the Department of Health (DoH) to support primary care services in local emergency situations that includes bushfires and pandemics.
We are seeking health professionals to record their interest in joining the Murray PHN Emergency Volunteer Register, in order to help staff field primary care clinics, or act as a temporary workforce in affected general practices and other primary care providers in times of emergency.
DHHS Coronavirus health workforce response – expressions of interest
DHHS are also calling for healthcare specialists, including retired doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics and allied health professionals, to return to work as part of the Victorian Government’s coronavirus response. Expressions of interest are also being sought from patient care assistants, assistants-in-nursing, and undergraduate students in health-related disciplines to provide essential support to our doctors, nurses and midwives.
