An Introduction to e-Mental Health Applications in General Practice | Mildura CANCELLED

March 27, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Free

Dr Jan Orman MBBS M Psych Med is the Black Dog Institute’s GP Services Consultant and GP lead for the Australian Government’s e-Mental Health in Practice Project (eMHPrac).

Dr Orman will deliver this program to health practitioners to support expanded use of e-mental health technologies in primary care.

Expanded use of clinician supported online (low intensity) treatments is an area identified by the recent Productivity Commission inquiry into mental health and supported by the National Suicide Prevention Adviser.

Clinician-supported online mental health treatment has the potential to substantially increase treatment coverage for those living with mental ill-health, particularly in rural areas (where internet access is available).

For further information on training, see the Black Dog Institute Practice Guide and the E-Mental Health in Practice project.

This session is supported by grant funding received by the Black Dog Institute for work in rural Australia.

To protect our medical workforce and the leadership of health care organisations, we are reducing face-to-face contact in meetings and events. Accordingly, we have cancelled this event.
