Infection prevention and control guidelines | Online

FreeThe RACGP, in partnership with the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association, recently published new Infection prevention and control guidelines to help health professionals in office-based practices implement infection prevention and control procedures.
Learning outcomes:
- Identify critical aspects of infection prevention and control in general practice (including recent changes to guidelines)
- Identify practice team approaches for the management of infection prevention and control.
Presenters:
- Jane Bollen, Primary Health Nurse Consultant: Jane works with general practices to support their quest for improvements. Jane represents APNA on the RACGP Expert Committee - Standards of General Practice and is the RACGP Chair of the Infection Prevention and Control Working Group.
- Megan Reilly: Megan has 35 years' experience working in IPC in the office-based, acute, day surgery, community, residential, early learning, justice and aviation settings.
- Sara Drew, Nurse Programs Manager: Sara is an experienced RN with extensive experience in primary healthcare, immunisation, chronic disease management and IPC nursing. For the past 17 years, Sara has worked in a variety of leadership, management, educator and clinical roles in PHNs and education to support the workforce.
