Initial Assessment and Referral (IAR) for mental healthcare training | Online

General practitioners, registrars, mental health clinicians and other health professionals within the Murry PHN catchment, are invited to attend this two-hour CPD-accredited group training workshop on how to use the Initial Assessment and Referral – Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST).
The IAR-DST complements clinical judgement and provides clinicians with a standardised, evidence-based approach to providing mental health care recommendations. Click here to learn more.
Dr Remon Eskander (MBBCH, AMC, FRACGP, Registered Focus Psychology Strategies Provider, Certificate Mental Health) a GP from Central Victoria with an interest in mental health will speak alongside Caroline Bice, the Initial Assessment and Referral Training and Support Officer for Murray PHN.

The same workshop is being delivered on 29 November from 12.30-2.30pm and again Tuesday 17 January from 6.30pm-8.30pm - people only need to attend one event.
Please note: This session will not be recorded. A one-off reimbursement of $300 will be available for GPs/GP registrars only on completion of the training (reimbursement is not available for GPs or clinicians working in Adult Mental Health Centres or Aboriginal Medical Services already funded by the government).
