Free professional development subscription for GPs
Murray PHN is offering GPs in our region a free subscription to Armchair Medical TV (worth $360+) to continue their professional development training.
Armchair Medical TV allows GPs to stream more than 4,000 lectures on a phone, tablet, computer or chromecast-enabled TV.
An example of one of the lectures is 'Case for change: Standardised access criteria for specialist outpatient clinics'. This presentation was delivered by Jody Paxton,Manager of the Surgical and Outpatient Reform Team of Queensland Health and Lorraine Dempsey, Health Projects Manager at Mackay Hospital and Health Service, at last years' myPHN conference. The lecture discusses the review of referral guidelines and processes, which led to large but successful changes between the primary and secondary sectors. Click here to watch.
