The Victorian Primary Health Network Alliance (VPHNA) is working with Safer Care Victoria’s Paediatric Clinical Network to translate evidence-based clinical practice guidelines (developed by the Royal Children’s Hospital) into statewide paediatric HealthPathways.
The primary aim of this project is to reduce unwarranted variation in paediatric care across Victoria by providing GPs with access to reliable assessment, management and referral information. Approximately 28 pathways will be developed over the course of the project.
The first suite of 13 Victorian Statewide Paediatric HealthPathways have been released and are accessible for free via Murray HealthPathways. Note that you have be registered and logged in to view the following clinical pathways:
- Acute Asthma
- Asthma non-acute
- Wheeze 1-5 yrs
- Chronic Cough
- Pertussis (whooping cough)
Another 15 pathways are currently under development and are set for release in October 2018.
