The Border Urgent Care Centre is open to help take pressure off the local emergency department (ED).
The Urgent Care Clinic (UCC), which is being operated by Border General Practice as Border Urgent Care Centre, was one of the first of 58 clinics to open nationally.
Border Urgent Care Centre is open from 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and from 10am to 2pm Saturday and Sunday.
The GP-led clinic is providing fully Government funded treatment for urgent but non-life-threatening emergencies, including respiratory illnesses, urinary tract infections, sprains, bites and rashes.

It's important to note that Medicare UCCs do not provide routine or preventative healthcare services, and inclusion and exclusion criteria apply, which will be checked at the time of booking a consultation. Patients experiencing a life-threatening injury or illness should not go to a Medicare UCC but call an ambulance or, if able, head straight to the nearest hospital emergency department.
