What is the My Health Record Provider Portal?
The Provider Portal allows health care professionals to see information in a patient’s My Health Record without using conformant clinical software.

Only Healthcare Provider Organisations need to register to participate in the My Health Record system.  Once registered, users authorised by the organisation will be able to access the My Health Record system via the Provider Portal (read only) using a National Authentication Service for Health (NASH) Public Key Infrastructure Certificate (PKI) for Individual Healthcare Providers.

To log in as a healthcare provider via the Provider Portal you must:
†¢      have a Healthcare Provider Identifier for Individuals (HPI-I)
†¢      have obtained a NASH PKI Certificate (for example a USB key or smart card) which identifies you as an authorised healthcare provider
†¢      be authorised by a registered Healthcare Provider Organisation to access the My Health Record system by the organisation having linked your HPI-I with their HPI-O. When you login to the Provider Portal, this will enable you to choose the organisation you are accessing on behalf of.
