Integrated Team Care | Expressions of Interest open
Murray PHN invites Expressions of Interest from health service providers for the commissioning of Integrated Team Care (ITC) teams, commencing from 1 January 2017.  Expressions of Interest close at 4.00pm Thursday 1 September, 2016.  Click here for more information and how to apply.

Clinical Advisory Councils | Applications open
Murray PHN's seeking applications for the establishment of four Regional Clinical Advisory Councils:  Central Victoria, Goulburn Valley, North East and North West Victoria.  The role of the Councils is to provide strategic leadership and clinical expertise to enable improvement in clinical models and service delivery, tailored to the specific needs of local communities.Membership will be made up of clinicians from a range of disciplines across the health care sector, including, but not limited to: Allied Health Practitioners, Dentists, Director of Medical Services, Emergency Services Professionals, Employees of Department of Human Services or Primary Care Partnerships, General Practitioners, Nurses, Pharmacists and Specialists.

Australian immunisation register

The Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) will be expanded to become the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) from Thursday 1 September 2016. Ensure your clinic has completed the most recent software update so that vaccination records are reported to the AIR successfully.

Family violence |  Hospital support

Jill Hennessy, Minister for Health  announced additional funding for the Strengthening Hospital Responses for Family Violence initiative on Wednesday 17 August.  A free toolkit has been developed by The Women’s Hospital and Bendigo Health to improve the response of health service staff to prevent, identify and respond to people experiencing family violence.

The Victorian Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders (CEED) has developed Feed Your Instinct (FYI), which is an interactive online early intervention tool to support parents or carers of young people experiencing or developing eating and body image problems.

New patient transport | Shepparton

More than 1,000 GV Health patients each year will now be transported in comfort and style, after the hospital launched two new patient transport vehicles in the beginning of August.

Share Health Summary upload target | Returning payment
If your practice did not meet its Share Health Summary upload target you can return your August 2016 eHealth Incentive payment.
General practices seeking to return the August 2016 eHealth Incentive payment can send an email to e: and the Department of Human Services (DHS) will arrange for a debt advice notice to be raised for the repayment of funds.

Ensure you include the following information in the correspondence:
†¢      Practice details (practice name, practice ID, postal address)
†¢      Reason for the correspondence â€" ‘Repayment of August 2016 PIP eHealth Incentive payment, as the SHS upload target for the practice was not met by 31 July 2016’
†¢      Contact name and phone number

Note - that any correspondence sent to DHS on this matter, must come from either the owner of the practice or an authorised contact.
