Health professionals | One week remaining to apply
Murray PHN's seeking applications from  Clinicians with a wide range of backgrounds who will ideally have experience and interest in a range of clinical areas, including but not limited to: population health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, aged care, mental health, chronic disease, women’s and children’s health, and drug and alcohol.  Applications close Friday 2 September. The Regional Advisory Council Coordinator will liaise with key stakeholders and coordinate meetings, forums and joint sessions. Applications close midnight Sunday 28 August.

HealthPathways | Survey


The Murray HealthPathways website will be available in late 2016, to be used by clinicians at the point of care to access evidence based, locally accessible patient pathways.  To assist Murray PHN in preparing for the launch of Murray HealthPathways, please complete a short survey. Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS)

The Department of Health's Chief Medical Officer's informing health professionals of the upcoming annual Muslim pilgrimage Hajj (9-14 September). Approximately 3,000 pilgrims are expected to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate and are at risk of MERS.

Integrated Team Care | EOI

Murray PHN invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from health service providers for the commissioning of Integrated Team Care (ITC) teams, commencing from 1 January 2017 in the Murray PHN region.  ITC teams work across mainstream and Aboriginal health services to improve access and coordination of care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with chronic disease.  Expressions of Interest close at 4.00pm Thursday 1 September, 2016.

Dementia Awareness Month

September is Dementia Awareness Month  and this year's theme is  You Are Not Alone. Australians are being encouraged to find out more about dementia, so people living with the condition feel less isolated and alone. During September a number of events will be held within the Murray PHN region: Benalla, Bendigo, Kyabram,  Mildura, Seymour, Violet Town, Wedderburn and  Woodend.

Pedometer challenge | Shepparton

A number of Greater Shepparton employers are presenting the 2016 Corporate Pedometer Challenge: to improve the health and wellbeing of their staff and the wider community, and raise funds for:  Shepparton Villages aged care development,  Greater Shepparton City Councils The Community Fund and  beds at GV Health.

GV Health research day fair | Speech

Lisa Bourke from the Department of Rural Health has provided a summary of the keynote speech she presented at GV Health's research day fair on Wednesday 20 July. Lisa is one of the Researchers who is exploring cultural exclusion in rural health services and conducting projects in culturally inclusive rural health care.
