Child health checks | Shepparton
Goulburn Valley service providers came together to support the Lulla’s Children and Family Centre’s Health day on Monday 4 April.
The day was focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children having hearing, speech, dental, immunisation, general health, wellbeing and maternal child health nurse checks.
Murray PHN attended to focus on the importance of closing the health gap. Adults and children were encouraged to leave painted hand prints on canvas (Nicole Atkinson, Indigenous Health Project Officer pictured top right). This hand print is a visual reminder to the commitment to encourage children to have health checks and lead by example of living a healthy lifestyle. |
