Can the VaxOnTime app find you?

The VaxOnTime app uses the National Health Services Directory to locate immunisation providers for users. If your service is not listed on the National Health Services Directory, or your listing does not include immunisation as a service, then parents will not be able to find you through the app.

The after hours GP advice and support line will better support all Australians who do not have access to face to face GP services in the after hours period.  The new after hours GP advice and support line is operated by healthdirect Australia and commenced on 1 July 2015. Murray PHN has created the above TV advertisement to raise awareness across our region. Posters and magnets will soon be distributed in practices and other health organisations.

The Department of Health is contacting patients who received treatment from a health care worker with hepatitis B to request those patients have a test for hepatitis B.

Hearing loss toolkit

Australian Hearing has developed a Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA)  activity, complete with a toolkit and education resource.  PDSA activities can be submitted  for up to 40 QI&CPD category one points.  Click here for details on the 4 May Melbourne information session.

A revised registration standard for recency of practice and a revised policy for recency of practice requirements were published in February by the Psychology Board of Australia.

Aboriginal health  screening day


On Wednesday 6 April, Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service,  Cancer Council Victoria, Hume RICS and Murray PHN held a health screening information day. The day covered the importance of maintaining continued health checks and  cancer screening within Aboriginal communities in working towards closing the health gap.
