Murray PHN is  seeking applications from individuals (e.g. community members who are consumers, carers and or patient representatives)  within the Murray PHN region who have an understanding of local health and wellness issues, and who are committed to working to improve health outcomes for their community.  Applications close Tuesday 31 May 2016.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics have released the 2014-2015 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Survey (NATSISS).  Run every six years, the NATSISS covers a broad range of social subject matter including health-related topics.

St Vincent’s Dermatology Clinic  |  Referral changes

From Friday 1 July all Dermatology Clinics will convert to a bulk-billed model. This will require GPs to refer to a named specialist.

APNA is encouraging participation in their Primary Health Care Nurse Workforce Survey 2016. The research will enable APNA to monitor workforce trends and better support primary health care nurses in Australia. The survey closes at the end of May 2016.

Genevieve Nielsen, Tracy Michalsky and Fiona Currie, Registered Nurses at Cobram District Health have undertaken three projects under a Department of Health and Human Services Nursing and Midwifery Workforce initiative. The focus was on two key areas of the mature workforce retention model â€" ‘learning and development’ and ‘recognition and reward’.

Stigma Action Grant | Art Exhibition
The Vahland Art Group (Bendigo Health) presented an exhibition titled: Reducing mental health stigma that ran from Thursday 28 April to Sunday 1 May.Loddon Mallee Murray Partners in Recovery (PIR) awarded The Vahland Art Group with a ‘Stigma Action Funding Grant’ for a 12 week program focused on reducing mental health stigma - click here to read more.
