The role of a Community Advisory Council is to provide Murray PHN with locally  relevant perspectives and provide recommendations to develop solutions in response to and  enable innovations that address local priorities.

Membership will reflect attributes of individuals who have an understanding of health and wellness  issues and are committed to facilitating effective, sustainable and equitable outcomes for their local  community.  For more information click here


Digital  health gateway

The creation of a digital health gateway, was part of the government's mental health reforms announced in November 2015. The gateway will be a single  reference  point to navigate people to the most appropriate service for their individual needs.  On Wednesday 11 May Jodie Rasmussen, Loddon Mallee Murray Partners in Recovery Project Officer attended a workshop, where a large number of other mental health related organisations provided stakeholder views for the development of the gateway.  

Share our Pride

Reconciliation Australia have developed the Share our Pride website that aims ro take visitors  on an awareness-raising journey; while giving them  a glimpse of how life looks from an  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  perspective.

Family Violence Common Risk Assessment Framework

The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has appointed Monash University to conduct a review of the Family Violence Common Risk Assessment Framework as part of the DHHS response to the Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence. The  survey closes Friday 27 May.

On Wednesday 27 April MDAS ran a Ladies Day Out in conjunction with Murray PHN and as a result 21 Aboriginal women were screened for breast cancer.
