After Hours | Funding Grants
Murray PHN invites applications for After Hours Funding Grants from suitable applicants able to undertake After Hours Primary Health Care projects. Applicants must also demonstrate a commitment and ability to work in collaboration with Murray PHN to seek improvements and/or innovation in quality, value, and outcomes in connection with After Hours services.

Coeliac disease GP resources

GPs are the focus of a new campaign  by Coeliac Australia to significantly increase the diagnosis rates of coeliac disease. Resources available include a fact sheet and a diagnosis video by Dr Jason Tye-Din, a gastroenterologist.

 

Close the Gap Day networking lunch | Bendigo

Murray PHN are hosting an inter agency networking lunch on Thursday 17 March, 2016 for professionals across the areas of health, education and employment. The lunch will provide an opportunity to share contributions and commitments to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) equality and share inspiring and proactive approaches to ATSI health within the Central Victoria region.

World sleep day

World Sleep Day is Friday 18 March, 2016 and the Bendigo Sleep Lab  are celebrating by wearing their pyjamas to work. The Bendigo Sleep Lab have also put together some sleep statistics and encourage medical health professionals to screen for sleep disorders.

My Health Record

The My Health Record gives people secure access to their health information and will also improve the connectedness of our health system over time.  My Health Record was officially launched by Minister Sussan Ley on Friday 4 March, 2016 and has replaced the Personally Controlled Electronically Health Record (PCEHR).

Compass clinical trial

The Compass clinical trial provides Victorian GP's and their practice teams to be ready for Renewal.  GP's recruiting women for Compass will be eligible to take part in an Active Learning Module and earn QI&CPD program points.

The immunisation section has released information about: the DTPa vaccine for 18 month old children program roll-out, an updated Government funded vaccine order form, a vaccine schedule, and a new immunisation catch-up tool.

The new ATAPS service  Triage Primary Mental Health Program,  has replaced the Navigating Life program in  Cobram, Euroa, Murchison, Numurkah, Shepparton and  Yarrawonga.

dTpa vaccine availability NSW

The Ministry of Health has advised that suppliers have released a significant amount of dTpa vaccine to wholesalers in the past two weeks for the private market.  It is anticipated that this will have a positive effect on availability of the vaccine in the private market, however supplies are likely to continue to be variable until mid-2016.

Identifying family violence training 2016  

Mallee Family Violence Executive and Mallee Sexual Assault Unit-Mallee Domestic Violence Service will be running  Identifying Family Violence training sessions across the Mallee throughout 2016.  Representatives from those organisations interested, are asked to complete an expression of interest form indicating staff numbers and preferred dates.
